The Cabin

Welcome to our newly built mountaintop cabin in the woods! The cabin is located only 20 miles from Penn State University, making it the ideal place to stay while attending events at University Park. Nestled between Bald Eagle State Park and Black Moshannon State Park, this is also the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the great outdoors. Our cabin is perched on a mountaintop providing breathtaking views of the surrounding forests and hills.

The cabin boasts a spacious wraparound deck and large covered porch, providing plenty of outdoor space to relax and take in the stunning views. There’s a 6-person hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day of hiking and/or exploring our 16 acre property. To set the mood, we have 2 firepits, one is propane and ignites with the touch of a button and the other is wood-burning, providing an ideal setting to make mountain pies and roast marshmallows for smores.

The cabin’s interior is equally impressive, with high-end appliances and two 65″ Roku televisions for your entertainment needs. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including a gas range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The luxurious walk-in shower with large rainfall showerhead in the bathroom is the perfect place to freshen up after a long day of outdoor activities.

The main bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with double duvets and 600 thread count linens, while the loft area boasts a bunk room with queen, twin, and full size beds, providing ample sleeping space for up to 5 additional guests. The cabin is also equipped with heating and air conditioning to ensure your comfort year-round.

My friends and I enjoyed a nice weekend getaway at this cabin. The drive up was so scenic and it was so nice to be in such a private area. Andy was extremely communicative when I couldn’t figure out how to unlock the door lol, and super responsive throughout the whole trip. Andy was an amazing host, couldn't have been any better to book with! The cabin was beautiful & so were the surroundings. Our only regret was that we didn't get to enjoy all of the wonderful amenities the space provided for us, just due to weather & the amount of time we stayed. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in July and absolutely loved it-- it's rare to find an airbnb that is so comfortable and well-appointed and I wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen had pretty much everything we could think of and the whole place just feels luxurious. We used the fire pit and hot tub and enjoyed sitting on the deck. This was by far my favorite stay at an Airbnb, and I’ve had many. From the friendly communication and patience with my questions to the exceptionally clean, well stocked and thoughtfully prepared cabin, to the gorgeous scenery in a private peaceful spot. The hot tub and deck were a great place to spend our time. The nearby towns had quaint little shops. There was nothing that wasn’t at the cabin that I felt should have been. I can be high maintenance, so that’s saying a lot. He even left us bottles of water, snacks, and a bottle of wine to help us celebrate our anniversary. This vacation exceeded my expectations.
